Up and ready to Rock this day with Zachary!!!! Jan 5, 2012 is the day my life will change forEVER . Today is going to be Zachary’s 1st run of Hemo Dialysis. I can’t WAIT for my little HERO to be feeling better…. Zachary went 2 and a half years fighting with a kidney that had very little function, so for over 2 years he has felt like he has the flu EVERYday. Puking, dizzy and no energy….. So , Even though we are all scared… Welcome , to the new chapter of our LIVES! Zachary WE ALL LOVE YOU!

Zachary was up and down all night long dreaming about his little brother Austin all night!… Austin just got here. ! Zachary is so EXCITED to be spending the day with him….. The bond between two brothers puts me in tears seeing them spilt up… They are laying in bed together watching the movie “Rango” . Zachary can’t wait to see Kiley hopefully this weekend… We LOVE you Kiley!!

The only bad Zachary woke up puking this morning. The Drs had switched his formula, so I am thinking he is not tolerating it..

Its already been a busy morning… Zachary was down for an hour and half ultrasound of his arteries to find a good one to place his dialysis catheter in. His left side is not suitable and his right is full of scar tissue… His veins and arteries are shot. I am waiting to here more.

Overall, things are looking better… Zachary’s finally cultures are in and he is growing the same nasty bug for the 3rd time! “Citroacter Freudii” He is on IV Cefaeprime until tomorrow and then when he starts dialysis he can switch to ” IV Gentamicin” Gentamincin is very hard on the kidney so we need to wait until he starts dialysis. I am PRAYING that we can kill this NASTY bug for good this time!!

The plan is Surgery in the morning to place the Hemo dialysis catheter line, replace his G-J tube, put in a new Chait tube for his cecostomy for bowel flushes. We are trying to get it all done at once while he is under…
The next plan- is to start dialysis and keep him on IV antibiotics to kill this NASTY bug!
And the last and BEST plan is to get Zachary healthly enough to recieve a new kidney when it comes!!! I can’t wait for that day!!!

I really dislike long restless nights……… Zachary is feeling much better after starting IV antibiotics, just VERY restless. He is on the surgery schedule for a Hemo Dialysis catheter placement for Thursday. But, we are now thinking it might be sooner???. “Not sure” Still waiting for his primary Kidney Dr. to get back to us….These Kidney kids are like roller coasters and the plan change from Hour to hour.
But, for now Zach is wide a wake watching “Mars need Mom’s” at 6am! He looks to good to be here…. I am PRAYING for a short stay.

Zachary’s poor veins are so shot that last night even using the ultrasound machine he had no visible veins. The only way to get an IV in was to use his brachial artery. Which is a deeper vein…They had to used a J-tip and they also had to give him a lidocaine shot in his poor arm. Zachary did Awesome holding still… My BRAVE little boy!

8 Year ago our world changed  for ever when our Amazing sweet little Zachary enter our lives… Its been 8 years of many tears and  miracles! WE LOVE YOU ZACHARY!

Zachary’s Doctor appointment didn’t go as planned and I walked out in tears. Zachary will start Hemo Dialysis sooner then later……… His Kidney Dr is very worried and said Zach is very fragile. He said that any cold,flu or UTI could take out the kidney, and if Zachary has a fever or illnesses he is not able to be put under for surgery to place the catheter… It then could put Zachary in a life threaten situation. They want to be ahead of the game and place a Hemo Dialysis catheter sooner then later…. I was praying for after Christmas…. But, We have to be ahead of the game and keep Zachary healthy..

Its been a 2 year search for Zachary’s HERO….. I have so many fears and scared of losing my child. Please keep passing on his pages in hopes to find a HERO. Zachary is a fighter and his body is becoming weaker and weaker. It is so hard as a parent to watch your child fight everyday just to stay a live… He is still full of SMILES and LOVES school so much! I know there is a HERO out there… I just hope and pray everyday that someone hears his story and wants to be Zachs HERO.

ToDAY is Zachary’s 8th Birthday !! He is so EXCITED TO BE 8!
