![]() Me and my nurse Zachary had a upper GI study at 5pm and they have been doing X-rays every 2 hours to see if the contrast is moving, well it is 9:30 and the contrast is in the same spot!! The DRS just came in and said they will do another X-ray at 10: 30 and if it has not moved Zachary might have to have another big surgery to repair that part of the bowel that is obstructed. We pray that he will pass it.
Please pray that Zachary will pass this and we can all go home as family, I miss Kiley and Austin so much that I am even having a hard time typing there name without crying. We knew going into this surgery that it would be hard on Zachary, but what he has been through and watching how hard he has fought, I am proud to be his mother. Zachary loves Super Hero’s but in my eyes i think he is the Bravest and strongest Super Hero that I know. Thank you for all your prayers, Stacey

Not good News!! Zachary is in a lot of pain and has another small bowel obstruction. We are so scared for him; the plan is to finally get him down for a Pick Line which they have scheduled and cancelled many times. I hope some time tonight. I have a horrible headache, and I am just sick to my stomach!! If he is not able to pass the obstruction then he will require another big surgery. Please pray for him to be able to pass this, Stacey

Update- Yes they are concerned with Zachary now throwing up green bio, so we are heading down for a upper GI study around 5pm. If Zach has another blockage that would not be good, and require another surgery. Depending on how severe the problem is and if it is urgent we are not sure if we can transfer him out of here or if he will need another surgery now. Yes, we are pissed! Zachary needs a BREAK!!! Please keep him in your prayers, Stacey

Sorry for the late update. Zachary had a rough night with throwing up and very restless. This morning the Drs said we could go home!!! That there was nothing more they could do for Zachary, and this is the best he would be until he has another surgery to Re-do his Nissen . Well I packed my bags so fast and was ready to run out of here with Zach in my arms, as I was walking out Zachary’s primary Kidney Doctor said you are not leaving !, Zachary’ s labs are not very good he is Anemic and is Iron Deficient plus he has been throwing up green bio. I feel that the U of M has screwed up way to many times and we just want to get him out of here so we can start a new chapter trying to find a new DR that will take him on and fix the mistake that they made. I will update later when the Kidney DRS come in and give us a little more information, I think all these DRS are a little confused and not sure what to do. Thank you for all your prayers, Stacey | |
