We are still HOME!! Zachary had his labs drawn on Friday and his creatinine is now back up to 2.0!! Not liking one bit! The DRS are talking about doing another Kidney Biopsy next week to see if the acute or anti-body rejection is back or if its just the chronic taking this Kidney down.. It is very sad because all Zachary wants to do is sleep and sleep. He takes 2 long naps a day and is in back between 7-8pm. I can’t wait to have my Zach Man back!! He is usually full of ENERGY!!
Zachary’s Blood Pressure are finally down to 120/60!!! Yippeee That is on
1,500mg 3x aday of Prazosin,
7.5ml x3 a day of Amlodipine
3ml x2 a day of Atenolol
a #3 Clonidine patch that i change every week
and 2 capsules of Isradipine every 6 hrs when his botton # is over 90!
Yes, that is a whole #####@@#@# of BP’S Meds

But they are finally down!! YIPEEE!!!

Zachary is also having a fast heart rate and he gets scared because he feels like his heart is going to jump out of his chest. Last night it last 15 mins. I was getting to the point just to back our bags and bring him in. But we made it through the night. on Monday he is having his labs drawn again just to keep a close eye on him. I will update later with some really cute pictures…

UPDATE.. Zachary’s White count jumped from.3-to 13 which means there is something brewing… I am waiting for the DRS to call back for a plan. They worry because he still has his Dialysis catheter in. And we don’t want that to get infected..That would not be good

Zachary is still doing great!!! Yesterday he was a little more tired and took 2 long naps. I think he is getting a little dry. Today I am going to back off on his Lasix. But I worry because he still has high blood pressure 120/90.

Zachary had his labs drawn today at 10am.. so now it is the waiting game..

I still worry because we just can’t seem to get his Blood Pressures down.. The DRS also seem to be getting a Little worried to. If his labs are off then we will pack our bags and head to the U of M.. If they are the same or BETTER we get to stay home…. Please pray for Zachary’s body to settle down.

Zachary jumping into the leaves

We are still HOME!!! Yipee…… Labs are the same AWFUL…no change.. but we will take as long as they stay the same and don’t get any worse. The plan is to enjoy time as a family as much as possible until his Kidney decides that it has had enough.

The nurse will come out M-W-F to draw labs just to keep a very close eye on how Zachary’s Kidney is doing….. They also added another Blood Pressure MED and have already upped it from 250mg x3 aday to now a 1,000mg x3 a day and we still have high BP…. Zachary is on 5 Blood pressure MEDS and his BP’S are still 130/80 which is low for him but still way to HIGH!

The plan is to PRAY and to PRAY hard… we need his Blood Pressures to come down. The DRS are even getting worried.. with all these MEDS they should be very low…

Tomorrow is going to be just a fun day… Playing outside and maybe we will try to go to the park. Zachary is back to taking 2 naps a day, and he is still having problems with his legs and feet swelling up. They won’t up his Lasix because he is already getting 3ml x2 a day and they worry if they take off to much fluid he will get to dehydrated. It is very hard to manage all 36′s of his meds to keep him going.. But at the end of the day I get to see the smile and the laughter, which makes me know that he will fight this, and become healthy enough to get his new kidney.

Trick or Treating at Bev's House

Halloween was a blast!! Kiley went off with her friends this year by herself.. she is so grown up.. Austin went with are old neighbor Grace around the sac and Zachary and I made it to 3 houses until his feet and legs started to hurt. I had to carry him back. The rest of the night he handed out candy.

It is so nice to be home… Zachary is loving it.. Austin and kiley are both wanting ALL my attention so that is very stressful.
Zachary is doing pretty good, His blood pressures are still high 130/90 and he gets very swollen at night. during the day he runs and plays like a normal 5 year old. But at night his legs hurt and he is ready for bed by 6:30pm.
Tomorrow Zachary has labs at 10am.. depending on his labs, will tell us if we get to stay home or we are back in the hospital… we pray he is stable..
If we get to stay home the nurse will come out M-W-F to monitor his Kidney function. We are going to try really hard to keep Zachary home as long as we can.
