We were in the ER at the U of M children’s yesterday. Zachary was vomiting on Wednesday night and Thursday morning he had very little urine output. I got very worried and brought him to the U of M ER. They did an Xray, ultrasound of his new kidney and IV. Labs were STABLE!!!!!! Ultrasound looks GREAT!! and he was dry!!! I LOVE an easy fix!! They are giving him a IV bolus and hopefully out later this evening!!!!! I think for the next year until we are over the 1 yr. hump I am going to be WRECK!! This kidney is GOLD and is keeping my child alive!!!! We have to be very careful and protect this Kidney with our LIVES! Overall, Zachary is doing AMAZING!! You can also follow him on Facebook even if you don’t have a Facebook account… All you have to do is click on the link.. I am having issues with uploading pictures on this site and have LOTS of NEW ones on his Facebook site. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Save-Zachary-Elsenpeter/127121614002476

Happy Friday!! I can already tell it’s going to be a GREAT day, Zachary was up and down throughout the night…. Zachary went down for his endoscopy scope yesterday to look at his esophagus and tummy. They also did some biopsy’s when they are in there. We should get the biospy results back today …. Since he has been hooked up to 24hr suction.. NO MORE PUKING!!! Good and bad. Overall, GOD IS GREAT!! None of this seems real yet…… I feeling like i am dreaming.. Of course a VERY GOOD DREAM!! Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers!!!!!!!!!!!

Zachary has had a very lazy day….. I kinda like uneventful boring days. I dislike exciting days .. The Plan~ To wait and let Zachary’s body heal from the Kidney transplants and suppress his immune system so he will not reject this new kidney. Zachary is still on IV Thymoglobuling “Nasty Med” to help protect this new kidney. He has had six/ 6 hr runs…He is pre-medicated with high dose Steroids, Tylenol and benedrly before his runs and after he is very restless. Thymoglobuling is a NASTY NASTY med and can’t wait for this last dose to be done. Zachary still has very high blood pressures 150/90 even on meds. Zachary is also having a lot of GI issues and has been nausea and unable to tolerate full feds. Overall, He is doing AWESOME!! Hopefully soon he will be running out of here! We are so thankful for all your support from family, friends and complete strangers. Thank you all for all your thoughts and prayers you can also follow his story on facebook

Zachary has been very restless all day…. It was a very long night he finally fell a sleep at 4:30am. Zachary is still complaining of belly pain, puky and has bloody urine. I have so many fears…. Zachary’s 1st kidney transplant at 11 months old the ureter disconnected from the kidney causing bloody urine and a belly full of urine. Zachary ended up having emergency surgery to reattach the ureter. The Doctors are coming up with a plan “Ultrasound” to see if his stent is still in place . I pray that his stent is still in place and this is just a little bump in the road… Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers,
