Zachary is still doing AMAZING!! To see the transformation before his kidney transplant to now is just AMAZING! He is full of LIFE and going and going non-stop! I think this morning it caught up with him. Zachary slept in until 1pm which was very nice… I was finally able to get caught up on some much needed sleep too. Today he has been having more pain and a lot more irritable. Zachary became very upset and we feared him pulling out his tubes so the Drs give him some adivan to come him down….. He is finally calm and watching movies.
Zachary is also out of ICU and on the 5th floor!! His labs are AMAZING! His creatinine is .5 and BUN is 9! He is getting IVIG to protect his new kidney and he is also getting IV Phosphorus supplements. Zachary’s blood pressures are still also very very high. Before transplant he was on 5 BP’s meds. The Dr was able to take his old transplanted kidney out, but because he had high BP’s for over 2 yrs. His heart and vessels took a beating. It could take up to a year for his heart and vessels to heal with this new kidney. Zachary is still on blood pressure meds until his body settles down.
Overall, Zachary is beating the odds and doing AWESOME! I still can’t believe this is all real… We are so blessed for Zachary’s Doctor’s, donor and there family.

Zachary is doing AWESOME!! He is still in ICU for the next couple days. His creatinine is .7 and BUN is 8!!! I haven’t seen numbers that low since his 1st kidney transplant! Zachary has been up all day talking Non-stop! Its AMAZING how good he is feeling! PLEASE also pray for his Donor! You are AMAZING ! Thank you for giving our son another chance at LIFE!
