We are HOME !! Sorry I didn’t update.. I get so use to updating on Zachary’s facebook and forget about his web site..

Zachary is doing OK.. Very tired and  very nausea still. I had his labs drawn and they are still high but heading the right direction. Next week he is having them drawn again just to make sure they keep going down.

Overall, he is doing OK… I am still worried about rejection cause he is just wiped out this last week. I just pray that his creatinine Kidney function keeps going down.

I think we are going HOME !!

We are still worried about rejection, But because he has a kidney infection the DRS can’t Biopsy him until he is infection free…. His creatinine “Kidney Function” is still high and not his normal… It has come down “which is good”.

This infection could cause his creatinine to jump like his did…On Monday I will bring him back in for labs and if he is still high then next week he will have a Kidney Biopsy.

The other bad… His Blood pressures are high again….”Sad” They took him off one of his 5 BP meds because that med could also cause a higher Creatinine level….

Overall, He looks and is feeling great! He is very excited to go HOME ! Even if its only for the weekend..I just pray that creatinine keeps going down so we don’t have to worry about rejection and doing the Kidney Biopsy.

Zachary had a great night! He slept through the whole night only waking maybe 3 times. One of the 3 was to look under his pillow to see if the tooth fair came last night. Zachary lost 1 of his top 2 teeth last night!

Good News..
Zachary creatinine “Kidney Function” has come down a little, so now they put him on the OR schedule for tomorrow for the Kidney Biopsy! They were going to do an emergency Biopsy this morning if his level was still going up. The DRS are still concerned about rejection, but more hopeful  ”Which is Good!

I’m still praying for a miracle !

Overall, he is doing great!

Zachary had a very rough and restless night with not a lot of sleep….. “Me either” He spiked another fever , very very nausea and puked on and off throughout the night.

Today his labs are even worse….I am just sick to my stomach in fear.
His creatinine “Kidney Function ” just keeps going up.

The plan today is a swallow and upper GI study and hopefully a Kidney biopsy today or tomorrow. I ‘m pushing for today.

He is very BORED!

The plan is to wait until tomorrow and check his creatinine”kidney function” again… If he is still high they will do a Kidney Biopsy . If he is in rejection….”Which I will cry”. Then we will hit this rejection HARD and hopefully stop it again!

They are drawing blood cultures again because he spiked another fever. They are starting him on antibiotics to cover every thing possible that could cause his fever.

These Transplant kids are immune suppressed and don’t have the fighting power like you or I have. They sometimes need extra help to fight these Bugs… Its like putting Zachary in a boxing ring with his hands tied behind his back and say fight… His body can’t fight back.

Overall, he is doing great ! He is very very bored and wants to go to school… Mrs Cotter, Zachary is missing you and talking non-stop about school.
