Zachary had a very rough restless night and this morning he was very puky… I feel so bad for him.. He is one tough Kid and worked through it and made it to school on time!

It breaks my heart that he has learned to live with his chronic illness… He is one AMAZING kID!

He loves 1st grade !! Which I think helps that he has such an AMAZING 1st grade teacher ! Thank you for being so AMAZING Mrs. Cotter!

Zachary had another great day at school !! I am so proud of him ! He is truly AMAZING!!

Today I was holding my sisters 2 month old baby boy, and just couldn’t stop thinking of Zachary when he was that age fighting for life to reach 17lbs. He was 11 months old when he finally was big enough to receive his life saving Kidney Transplant.

At that time we were not sure if he would even survive …. Now 6 years later after 1 Kidney Transplant , over 30 surgeries and living in Kidney failure again my HERO is a 1st grader!!

We are so thankful for everyday we have with him…He is my HERO !

Today Zachary starts 1st grade !! We are very nervous, but very excited !! Last yr in Kindergarten Zachary’s little body went into rejection 2 weeks after school started..He missed the rest of his school year fighting rejection and a infection in his mitrofanoff that had turned into a abscess causing him to be very sick for many months.

It has been a very rocky year with his health and him in kidney failure. But with all this my little warrior is ready for 1st grade with lots of energy and a BIG smile !!
