All night after Zach Got Lasix IV again, I kept getting up and checking to see if there was pee in Zach’s Catheter bag. NONE! This morning I wanted to cry…I asked the nurse if I could re-cath him to see if there was a clog. I re-cathed him and 475cc of liquid gold was flowing so beautifully into the bag! I I cried. Zachary got very excited! I think we all did.
Zachary had a better night , but was still very restless like always. They just drew his labs again ,so now it’s the waiting game. If his labs are stable we might get to go home today or tomorrow. But, next Tuesday we are back down here with his Primary Kidney Dr to come up with a plan for Zach. None of the Drs. that are on service wants to make any changes or plans for him. They are leaving it up to his Primary.
His cough is still pretty bad and his tummy is very swollen. They did do another X-ray last night that suggested fluid overload. Well, We already new that. I think they just wanted to expose the kid to more radiation.
Next Monday we are also coming back down here for a G-J Tube change. They use a special BIG x-ray machine in “INR” Intervention Radiology. Zachary gets his tube changed out every 3 months. I think this time around we are going on 6 months. Oops .
