Last night I finished my Donor work-up package.. I am so excited !! The feeling of not just maybe saving Zachary but another life feels AMAZING ! Either way I will donate my Kidney someday. This 6 year journey with Zachary has taught us so much about how important each day is.. That your life can change in a minute and that time is gone. Zachary is hanging in there .. Lately he has been asking a lot of questions about when he will get a new Kidney. It’s so hard to here a 6 yr old ask that question.. I don’t know when he is going to have a new HERO ! I just pray that one is found.

Zachary has been feeling pretty good.. Considering.. Some good days and some bad.. Overall , he is my HERO !! This up coming week Zachary has OT, Home School and labs. Next week we are back down at the U of M for Drs and we also meet with the Sleep Dr again. Zachary is sleeping better bu,t he is still up and down all night long. This morning he was very restless at 5am .. The only way to calm him down is a nice warm bath. But coming out of the bath he freezes. We have some wonderful people helping us get our Gas fire Place hooked back up. When we put a wall to make Zachary his own room over a yr ago, the Fire Place never got put back in. Zachary use to love to sit by it after baths . He is getting excited about it finally being put back in. Thank you for all your help !

APRIL IS ORGAN DONATION AWARENESS MONTH !!

WOW!! After a VERY LONG restless night with him being very agitated and puky…. Not sure why? Zachary finally fell a sleep around 4am !! BP’s are still very high… 130 /97… Last night his BP’s were 151/93 !! I am so worried about him having a stroke. He has no fever… but his head is feeling weird again. I am thinking headaches from his High BP’s. After Kiley and Austin are out the door for school , I am hitting my pillow !!

Happy Easter !!!

We are so thankful for so much… for ALL of us to be home as a Family and spending time with family and Friends…. We are also very thankful for all the wonderful people that have gotten tested to save our Zachary.. I pray everyday for that phone call. We have a Kidney @!! We haven’t got the call yet, but I know soon we will….We had a Wonderful Easter. Yesterday we spent the day at Grandpa Denny’s house .. The kids had a blast running and playing outside all day on my Dads 12 acres.
Today we spent the day with Wades side of the family and had a picnic style Lunch.. The Kids played Legos, bubbles and played kick ball outside… We all had a wonderful day !!

Zachary had an awesome day.. He had lots of energy and was feeling pretty good all day. His Mitrofanoff site is looking infected. His tummy is red, swollen and pussing from the site. I think I will be bring him in tomorrow. His Blood pressures are still high but, He has been sleeping much better the last 2 nights !!! Yipeee !! More sleep for all of us.
This week he has OT and school .. and hopefully I can get him in for a doctor’s appointment tomorrow to look at his tummy.

Today was the drawing for my Uncle Mike’s beautiful oil painting of Christ. Thank you Mike !!!

Happy Easter !!!!

Zachary is doing great and loving this nice whether… He saw the sleep DR. yesterday at Children’s. Well, The Dr. looked at him and his Medical records and all he could say was WOW! You have a very complicated , and very complex child. He suggested to do a sleep blog for 2 weeks and check an iRON Level. Mostly he is so restless and is up and down all night long is related to his Kidney failure… It comes down to him needing a new Kidney..

The last couple of days Zachary is full of energy when he is a wake !!! I love yo see him run and smile !!! His blood pressures are still up and down , but he is usually 125/90… constantly. Zachary has been very nausea and vomits multiple times a day. My Van is going to need new carpet soon… He Vomits from the smell i can’t seem to get out. Zachary has also been getting bloody noses the last couple of weeks.. Not sure why, but thinking the high Blood pressure could be the cause. My BIGGEST fear is if Zachary doesnt get a new Kidney soon that his high Blood pressure is going to cause him a stroke!! He is 6 yrs. old and I am worried about a stroke.. that doesn’t seem right.

The rest of the family is doing great!! Kiley is loving her Gymnastic !! She had her state meet last weekend and took GOLD on the allaround and Floor !! We are so proud of her.. She is loving school and can’t wait for summer.
Austin is so fun to be around.. always smiling and into everything!! He is also loving school. Last night he told me that his teacher Laura misses him and needed to go to school to give her a Hug. How cute !!

Wade is busy working very hard… He is the hardest working man i know !! I think he is loving this whether. Wade works outside all day and the cold was getting old…winter was too long!

and for me… I am doing OK… just Lots of Drs. appointment , meds, cleaning house, laundry … and trying to find a HERO for Zachary. I have been very tired lately with lack of sleep.. Zachary is still having major sleep issues. I can’t wait for all of us to get a good week of sleep.
