The Dr. Just called concerned about Zach’s EBV levels. EBV is related to PTLD.. “Post Transplant lymphoma Cancer”. It’s a balancing act… They had to cut his Immuno suppression medications in half so his body can fight the EBV. The bad news, is now we worry that his body is going to fight the Kidney off. We don’t want to lose the function he has left. Please pray that his body can fight the EBV without losing his Kidney.

Zachary had a Drs. appointment yesterday with the sleep Dr. The said that Zachary is very Iron deficient from being in kidney failure.. Low Iron can cause sleep issues like he is having. The DR is also thinking he has sleep Apnea and Restless leg syndrome. Zachary has had issues with aspirating at night when he sleeps. He had aspirating Pneumonia 5 times last year and NO Dr. has ever thought that he has sleep Apnea. How interesting.. I love getting more Drs. involved. On May 12, Zachary goes in for a sleep study over night.
The last 2 nights Zachary has been very restless and not getting a lot of sleep. I am very anxious for this sleep study. I want answers and I want to be able to help Zachary be more comfortable at night.

I want to Thank the Andover Athletic Association for Sponsoring Zachary’s website !!! Thank you Jen, Rob and Ellie !!

Zachary has been doing great and feeling great the last 2 days !! His blood pressures have come down to 120/80′s much better… We have been so blessed with such beautiful Sunny warm whether… It’s hard to keep the Kids inside.. Even Zachary has been playing outside.. Tomorrow Zachary has another Drs. Appointment with the sleep Dr. I am praying that we can come up with answers or suggestions on what we can do to help Zachary sleep better at night. He is still up and down all night long. Night are very long in our house..

Zachary is loving and doing Awesome with School and OT. He is starting to reading level 1 books and has been working really hard on his hand writing. Zachary is very shaky from all his meds he is on and has a hard time with writing. We are so proud of him, He has come so far in just the last 6 months.
We are so blessed with all of the prayers and thoughts from so many wonderful people. It’s amazing how many people have called in to save our Zachary . We are just speechless and grateful for everybody getting tested. Zachary is such an amazing little boy, He has brought so many people together. He reminds me to enjoy life each day and to be thankful for what we have.

Yesterday Zachary’s Blood Pressure was 148/104 !! Way to high…. Yes , That worries me…This picture is Wade and Zachary at 3am.. Another very restless night. This week we meet with the sleep Dr. to discuss what will be best for Zachary so he is more comfortable at night.

The last couple of days Zachary has been very tired, puky….. He has had little energy and sleeping a lot. But last night he slept through the whole night and woke up with LOTS of energy !!!! Today he played out side pretty much all day ! … Jumping on the trampoline and playing with the water hose . He even tried to ride his bike without training wheels !! It was a very exciting day !! I wish everyday was like today…..
Overall, Zachary is doing great!! His labs are stable and he is getting really excited about summer.
