Tomorrow Zachary will be having another surgery … . They are planning on repairing his Mitrofanoff and repair his lower unit. I am so worried for this surgery because his body has been under so much stress and I fear that more trauma to his little body will cause his Antibodies to go even higher. Zachary’s antibodies are all ready to high and if they go any higher , Zachary’s chances of finding a kidney will be impossible. I pray for God to wrap his hands around Zachary and give his body the strength to stay strong during his surgery and to fight any infections.
I will update during Zachary’s surgery.. He goes in at 2pm.. Please say an extra prayer around that time..
DONOR SWAP… If you have already have been tested for Zachary and were not a match. There are other options to better chance to find a Kidney for Zachary. It is called the “Paired Exchange” program. All you need to do is call the Transplant center at the U of M 612 625-2186… If you have already been tested for Zachary and was not a match they can still use your blood from the 1st draw. Zachary had his first Kidney Transplant when he was just 11 months old, Which his Daddy gave him that second chance at life…. Than our lives changed again….Zachary went into Antibody , Acute and Chronic rejection September 30, 2009, He developed very high class 2 Antibodies . Zachary’s kidney is to damaged to repair, and with his high Antibodies it is going to be very difficult to find him a new Kidney.
