To borrow the words of the great Martin Luther King, Jr., ‘I have a dream’ for all of you and your child. My dream, my hope is that I may have the blessing and the honor of joining you in watching you son or daughter grow up and live a long and healthy life. Please know that I will do all within my power to make that dream a reality.

And my dream, my hope for you is that, regardless of your situation or circumstance, you come to know the truth about God and his amazing love and grace.

Yesterday, the country celebrated the life of Martin Luther King, Jr. Here are some wonderful quotes from Dr. King, a great Christian man of deep faith and hope:

“If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep streets even as Michelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music, or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well.”

“Their can be no deep disappointment where there is not deep love.”

“I decided early to give my life to something eternal and absolute. Not to these little gods that are here today and gone tomorrow, but to God who is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”

Zachary had his labs drawn yesterday… The results are stable and no change… His blood pressures are as high as 147/106 !! Way to high !!

Yesterday Zachary and his potential donor “Christine ” had there labs drawn.. It is now in the hands of God and we pray that he guides us through our journey. We should know the results by Monday. Either way Christine you are a HERO !!

Last night Zachary had another rough night. He sleeps in my bed 95% of the time and last night he was not able to sleep unless he was holding my hand. Every time I let go he woke up. It was a long night. This morning he is feeling much better and is playing his Wii. He loves his video games.

Tomorrow Zachary is having his Dialysis catheter taken out. They will have to put him to sleep to pull it out. The Drs. decided to take it out because we are only using it for lab draws . Zachary has had it in for 4 months and they worry about him getting a blood infection. I can’t wait for it to come out ! Zachary has not had a bath in 4 months ! That is way to long for a little boy. I will update after tomorrow.

Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers,

Stacey

Luke just got his catheter out yesterday and is doing just fine!! I know what it is like to look forward to bathing your son again. I am praying Zachary has a better night and his blood pressures come down.
