Zachary’s Blood pressures are still high.. 140/90!! His heart rate is also higher then normal 120-145. Every 6 hours Zachary is getting his Isradipine , which is a fast acting med to lower the blood pressure along with his other 4 blood pressure meds. It only last maybe 2 hours and his blood pressures are right back up. Yesterday Zachary’s labs were about the same , so that is good I am still waiting for the Dr. to call back with another plan. I fear that he is going into rejection again They are talking about doing another biopsy if we can’t get his blood pressures down.
Please pray for his blood pressures to come back down..

I am very worried today, Zachary’s Blood pressures are 160/100!!! Last night i noticed that his left eye had popped a blood vessel, no more than 1 hour later the other eye started to do the same thing. I called the Dr. on call and they said not to worry unless he starts to get a headaches or he is not acting like him self. Well, today with his high Blood pressure I am very worried!! He just had his labs drawn , so now it’s the waiting game.
I will update when I get the results.

Zachary had a Kidney Transplant when he was 11 months old which my wonderful Husband his Daddy donated. Zachary has had over 30 surgeries , muiltiple hospital stays and horrifying complications. In October 2009 Zachary went into Antibody , Acute and chronic Kidney rejection. He had 7 treatments of Plasmapheresis, 7 treatments of IVIG and 1 week of 120 mg high dose of steroids to stop the rejection. The rejection was stopped but Zachary’s new kidney took a beating and was not able to recover. Zachary developed high class 2 Antibodies , which is going to make VERY VERY hard to find him a match. The Drs. said that we are going to need hundreds of people tested to save our little boy. This is going to be his toughest fight EVER. Zachary is currently taking 41 medications a day to keep his body going. He is on 22 hour a day of J-tube feed for nutrition and his G-tube is open to a ferrel bag because he had a 2 Nissenfundoplaction last February 2009 that didn’t go as planned and they perforated his stomach and had to do a Nissen take down. Zachary now has nothing to stop the stuff in his stomach from coming back into his esophagus. Zachary has had aspirating pneumonia 4 times since April, He also throws up daily. Zachary also has a Mitrofanoff that is continuously draining to keep the urine pressure off the Kidney. Zachary still has his Dialysis catheter in for 3x week lab draws and just in case the Kidney just decides to completely quit.
With all of this going on with Zachary you would think he is a sick boy. A week before he went into rejection he ran a whole Mile around a lake for a HopeKids run. Zachary is a very out going child that lives life to the fullest.
Zachary had a Drs. appointment today for a follow up to make sure his pneumoina was going away. He is still pretty tired but his Lungs sound great. Zachary has labs again on Thursday. Overall he is in good spirits and feeling better everyday.
We are so thankful for everybody that has called in to see if they could be Zachary’s HERO!! Thank you so much.. You are all HERO’S in my eyes.

Thank you to everybody praying for our little Zachary This has been a very long road and we still have a very long road a head of us. Zachary is feeling much better today. He is still swollen and is feeling sick but overall he is smiling and playing video games on are Wii with Austin.
Zachary’s blood pressures have been high since yesterday and today they are starting to come down a little. Zachary had his labs drawn today and whenever he has high Blood pressures his creatinine kidney function usually comes down because his heart is working harder to pump blood to the kidney. The kidney likes high blood pressure , because it is getting more blood flow. But it is not good for his body to have a blood pressure of 140/90. The point is usually his labs look better, and his kidney lab are a false low. Well, today his creatinine is 2.3 not liking, So most likely his creatinine is even higher. The plan is to redrawn him again this week and see were he levels out.
Tomorrow Zachary has a follow up appointment from his hospital stay last week. The nurse said that his Lungs sound good Zachary is also up in his weight!!! Yippee!! He now weights 41lbs I am pretty sure that it is not fluid because he is on 3 ml of Lasix x2 a day . I just pray that he can keep it on.
That for everybody that has called into the Transplant center so see if you could be Zachary’s HERO. You are all HERO’S in my eye’s.

We are home!! Zachary is still not him self.. He is MISERABLE!! He feels like CRAP! He still has a fever .. He is still throwing up .. his eye are still swollen and he is starting to puff up again. I am very scared for his labs on Monday. When we left the hospital his creatinine Kidney function was 2.0, I am OK with that.. Now he is looking a little worse. This is not fair!! Christmas is coming and I fear that this year we will be spending it in the hospital. Christmas is Zachary’s favorite holiday and he is so sick that all he wants to do is sleep or just lay around. He is ONLY 5 yrs old!! He should be running around and playing with his friends and wrestling his brother not feeling sick all the time!! WE NEED TO FIND HIM A HERO!!! I can’t wait for my Zachary to feel like Zach Man again. I feel helpless.
I order some business cards with Zachary ‘s picture on them with his website. I am going to hand them out to everybody!! I am also trying to work on a flyer to hang up at all the local stores. If anybody would like to help, we would be very grateful:) We need to find him a Kidney. I talked to the Transplant center yesterday and about 25 people have already called in to get tested!! WOW.. This has been a very tough year not only for Zachary but for the whole family Kiley is only 9 yrs old and has seen and heard more than her little mind can handle. Kiley is very scared for Zachary. This Year Zachary has spent a lot of time in and out of the hospital with Multiple surgeries and complications . Austin has been living with Wades parents and Kiley has been living at our neighbors Karen and Troy’s house . So my wonderful husband can still work and provide for our family. Thank you guys so MUCH!! There is NO way that we could do this without your help.:)
I pray that this year 2010!! WE WILL FIND ZACHARY’S HERO!! With everybody getting the word out and passing along his website.. I know that we will find him a perfect match.
