Check me out!!!

Check me out!!!

Zachary is still doing great! Last night he was running a low grade fever so I was a little worried. But today he is fever FREE!!!!  Yesterday Zachary had a DRS appointment with his primary and boy was she shocked! On what happened to Zachary in the last 7 weeks, after an hour long appointment we came home and Zachary and

Austin played outside for hours. It it so nice to be home…..

Zachary is still tolerating his feeds; he is up to 68cc an hour for 24 hr feeds. His Mitroffanof has come out 3 times now! and I have the hardest time getting it back in and every time I do it always bleeds. Zachary also has blisters on his tummy from the Tegadram tape so his tummy is pretty sore.

Tomorrow Jo Zach’s home nurse is coming out to draw labs and hopefully we can have her pull out Zach’s Pick Line! I don’t like it in and I am terrified that it will get infected. Every time that Zach has had one it always gets infected and then we are back in the hospital with IV antibiotics.

Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers and for your generous donations. This has been a really hard time with Zachary being in the Hospital for the last 6 weeks. We are just so happy that we are home as a family again.

This is Zachary’s Journey… Please watch…

Big Wheels keep on turnin’ ! Boy Zach, some days you just make us feel sooo Happy !

Stacy: there’s probably some sort of “trick” to doing the Mitranoff easily that only the medical folks know …ask the nurse.Hang in there …you’re doing great Doctor Stacy !

The video compilation of photos was absolutely beautiful! But the song—who was it? Whoever wrote that song is both a beautiful and talented soul–wow–

It’s so good to hear that Zachary is doing well!!! YEAH!!! Aren’t they using a catheter with a balloon at the end (can’t think of the name of it right now) to stay in his stoma? With Mason’s they stitched the catheter in to his belly so it wouldn’t come out. It’s not good that it keeps coming out. It needs to heal and you could be damaging the tract now.

Have a fantastic Easter!!!!!

Mark Schultz sings the song. Here are the lyrics. He wrote it for his son who had cancer. How fitting, isn’t it. I cry every time I hear that song. Mark is a Christian songwriter and very good. I had to buy his CD when I heard that song. Navigation: M \ Mark Schultz \ He’s My Son
I’m down on my knees again tonight
I’m hoping this prayer will turn out right
See there is a boy that needs Your help
I’ve done all that I can do myself
His mother is tired
I’m sure You can understand
Each night as he sleeps
She goes in to hold his hand
And she tries not to cry
As the tears fill her eyes
CHORUS:
Can You hear me?
Am I getting through tonight?
Can You see him?
Can You make him feel all right?
If You can hear me
Let me take his place somehow
See, he’s not just anyone
He’s my son
Sometimes late at night I watch him sleep
I dream of the boy he’d like to be
I try to be strong and see him through
But God who he needs right now is You
Let him grow old
Live life without this fear
What would I be
Living without him here
He’s so tired and he’s scared
Let him know that You’re there
CHORUS
Can You hear me?
Can You see him?
Please don’t leave him
He’s my son
