Last night they gave Zachary Go-Litly”"It”s a bowel prep”"NOT fun! 8 hour later Zachary still had not pooped. He was miserable!! Finally at 8:30 we got results. Zachary is also having really high blood pressures 151/110!! The DRS are a little worried about having this big surgery with high pressures.  We need lots of prayers today for his blood pressures to come down, To guide the surgeons hands to do a text book perfect surgery and for a fast recovery. I will try to update every couple of hours when we get updates from the surgeons. The surgery will start at 10am.

Thank you for all your support and prayers,

Stacey

Check out Zachary’s shirt!!!  Daddy’s my HERO!!! IS THAT PERFECT OR WHAT.
p1010400Only 2 more day’s until Zachary’s surgery!!! I have been VERY stressed out!!! Cleaning house, paying bills, Packing 4 suit cases and trying to figure out were Kiley and Austin will be going!!! Thank all for helping us with Kiley, Austin and our Bunny jazzabell.

Zachary is doing good! He is getting scare for his surgery, and asking a lot of question’s. The U of M hospital sent Zachary Curios George, George has a IV in his hand a Mitrofanoff in his belly and a catheter in his bladder. Zachary didn’t like seeing all the tubes, but the hospital thought it would be a good  idea to prepare him for when he wakes up from his surgery.
I talked to one of his Surgeons today about the surgery, He thinks that it could take 7-10 hours depending on how much scare tissue Zachary has. Zachary has been opened multiple time’s in the middle, so he has LOTS of scare tissue. I am more scared for this surgery than when he had his Kidney Transplant. But we need to stay POSITIVE and pray that his surgery will go text book PERFECT with NO complications and a FAST recovery!!!!!!

Only 5 more days until Zachary’s surgery! Last night my Dad took our family to Space Aliens for a fun night out. Almost 4 hours later after playing LOTS of games, eating ice-cream and trying to pick out a prize with over 1,500 tickets, we finally came home to a good night sleep.

Zachary is having his labs drawn tomorrow so we need lots of prayers for good labs. Zach’s Blood Pressures are 110/60! that is the lowest they have been in over a year. Thanks to his 2 new blood pressure meds Yippee!!! That makes his med list to 17 Now!!  Before his 1st transplant he was on 21 meds. We are just heading down that road again. It’s scary and depressing.

Now about Zachary’s surgery- They will admit him on Thursday morning for IV fluids and Go-litly. The surgery is Friday morning. They will be doing a Mitrofanoff to help empty his bladder, Bowel resection to remove part of the bowel and clean out the scare tissue and adhesions around the bowel that he has from the Transplant and being opened in the same area multiple times. They are also planning on re-doing his Nissen too, that is when they flip the stomach and tighten where the esophagus and stomach meet, to help him with his acid reflux and aspirating into his lungs. Zachary is still J-tube fed. Our hope is for him to start eating more on his own. We are very scared for all three surgeries at one time. Zachary is immune-surpressed from the anti-rejection meds, so he doesn’t have the immunity to fight off infections, and for his little body to heal as fast.p1010346 Also please pray for Tyler, Benji and Mason – Mason is having surgery on Thursday , Tyler is struggling to grow big enough for his Kidney Transplant and Benji is also in Kidney Failure and is having surgery this week.

p10103904 Zachary is doing great, His Blood pressures are still a little high but he is one active little boy.  Today I got a phone call from one of Zachary’s teacher. There is a child in Zachary’s class room at his school that has Bacteria Meningitis. How scary is that! So I called the U of M and they told me to get his butt to the closest Hospital or Urgent care as soon as possible.  Two and a half  hours later They gave Zachary a couple of shots in his leg. It took so long because they had to find out what straine of Bacteria it was in order to treat it. After all the excitment Zachary and I Went to Dairy Queen for some Ice cream. Zachary just can’t get a break.

I will update later about the plan for Zach’s surgery on Feb 27th. Our little Buddy Mason from Camp sunshine is also having a big surgery on Feb 26th. Also keep Tyler in your prayers he is a little baby that we met at the U of M who is waiting for a Kidney Transplant.

p1010381We are HOME!! Only until next Thursday, than Zachary will be having his Big surgery on Friday.  The Doctor’s feel like he was not in acute rejection, they think that the chronic rejection is just getting worse. There is nothing they can do at this point, hopefully the Mitrofanoff surgery will help relieve the pressure on the kidney and give the kidney more time. They added two new meds to help lower his blood pressures and his phosphorus levels. On the way home from the hospital Zachary fell asleep within seconds, his poor little body is so tired from not getting alot of sleep the past 5 days. If his blood pressure’s go up again they will readmit him until his surgery on Friday.

Thank you for all your prayers and support!!
