Today Zachary & Kiley’s new cousin arrived. My Sister Lori and husband Darryl had their first baby! Her first name is pending, so for now she is to be called baby Collette. She is 9lb. 1 oz. and 21in long. I am not sure of the exact time, but I do know the phone rang at 3:17A.M central time at our parents house. All three are doing well! Wow that makes me an uncle huh?

Zachary today is doing pretty well. They have stopped his feeds for now, and upped his IV fluids. This to help with the dehydration from having C-Diff ? ( a viral infection) Once that is resolved, it sounds like he will be able to come.

Tomorrow Zachary is going to be 1yrs old.

Also, tomorrow is the benefit. A lot of people have put a lot of time and energy into this event and it is sure to be a good time!

We look forward to seeing everyone who can make it there.

Until than, thank you everyone for your ongoing prayers and support. We are so blessed to be surrounded by so many wonderful people.

Oops, I didn’t get an update in and it was one of his best days.

The physical therapist was in and worked with his legs. He was able to stand with her holding his thighs, but you could see it hurt at first. He was then able to get on his knees and hold the side of the bed.

The lab work came back great for the first time, although they warned them that there would be a lot of ups and downs in this area before they get it completely regulated. They took out the catheter, which I am sure you can all identify with, that is always a plus! He is producing tons of urine with meds to help.

He has also added a couple more fun things to go along with the famous smile: raising his arms “so big” and “waving” good-bye”.

The sun was out today and so was the famous smile! Zach has started waving and responding to other motions you make towards him.

They did a stent test today to make sure there weren’t any leaks, the results were great!

He is up to 25cc per hour for feeds using his g-j tube. The J-tube bypasses his stomach and goes directly into his intestines. This is how he was feed 24-7, previous to transplant. The next goal is to start using the G-tube (directly into stomach), and then finally oral feeding. He has not taken a bottle since he was three weeks old. A speech therapist will be working to help him re-learn that skill.

Check-out the photo gallery for current pictures of that Famous Smile!

Gotta tell ya, the famous smile is back! He is doing really good again, the unexplained rash is gone, the fever is gone, things are looking up again. Lets just hope they stay that way. They all deserve a break.

That’s all, just wanted you to know.
